Lighting Design

I have been working professionally as a lighting designer since 1989. One of my biggest strengths is making naturalistic interiors; textured and full of shadows, yet lit in all the right places. I am also an expert at making unique lighting transitions that engage the audience during the pauses in a production required for quick changes and set changes, making transitions seamless and unique. I am excellent at programing light cues on the fly during rehearsals or on my own time with a video recording of the show to avoid as much as possible the need for a cue to cue rehearsal for lighting purposes. I am as comfortable working in a black box space with a handful of coffee can lights as I am in a fully computerized facility with DMX controlled accessories.
